BBC Studios has promoted Suzy Raia to Executive Vice President, Global Consumer Products, reflecting the company’s continued investment in its brands and commercial growth strategy.

“I continue to be grateful for being surrounded by a world-class team as we take Bluey to the next level and bring audiences the most epic moment yet, the Movie,” says Raia. “I’m looking forward to not only the future of Bluey but the future of BBC Studios as we continue to build out our brand portfolio and maximize the capability we’ve built globally.”
In her new role, Raia will oversee global brand partnerships, retail development, and product innovation across BBC Studios’ portfolio, which includes Bluey, Doctor Who, and BBC Earth. Raia will continue to report to Nicki Sheard, CEO of Brands and Licensing.
The promotion follows BBC Studios’ 2024 restructuring of its Brands and Licensing division to unify global operations and accelerate brand expansion. Under Raia’s leadership as SVP, Bluey grew into a global hit with partnerships across categories and platforms. The brand has earned multiple industry honors, including the 2025 Toy of the Year Award for License of the Year.
Raia brings more than 25 years of experience in consumer products, including nearly two decades at Nickelodeon working on SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Paw Patrol.
BBC Studios says the appointment underscores its commitment to delivering long-term value through fan-first strategies, innovative partnerships, and expanded ecosystems, including its recently launched global eCommerce platform.
“Show to Shelf is central to how we grow our brands globally — it’s about making the magic audiences see on screen part of our audiences’ everyday lives, and Suzy has been pivotal in championing that philosophy,” says Nicki Sheard, CEO of Brands and Licensing at BBC Studios. “Her ability to understand what fans want and turn that into meaningful consumer experiences ensures our IP resonates far beyond the screen. She is helping us build ecosystems where fandom can truly flourish.”
