Сulture Department of Moscow

The Department of Culture of the city of Moscow is engaged in the development of the cultural environment in the city, creating opportunities for a variety of leisure activities for Muscovites and guests of the capital, children's recreation, creative education, support for creative projects and the creation of infrastructure for international filming. The Department manages a structure of more than 1,000 creative venues — theaters, museums, cultural centers, cinemas and film cluster member organizations, concert organizations, children's art schools, creative educational institutions, libraries, parks and natural protected areas, and others. Lenkom, the Pushkin Theater, Sovremennik, Gorky Park, Sokolniki, the Moscow Zoo, the Great Moscow State Circus, the Planetarium, and the Moscow House of Music are located in the contour of the department.
