/The Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow is one of the largest scientific and technical museums in Russia. The history of the museum began in 1964, when the monument “Conquerors of Space” appeared on the map of Moscow. Today the Museum of Cosmonautics is among the three most visited museums of the Department of Culture of Moscow.
The modern exposition of the museum consists of eight exhibition halls. The museum's collection includes more than 100,000 items: samples of rocket and space technology, relics, documents, philately, numismatics, decorative and applied arts, collections of paintings and graphics.
