The Moscow Planetarium is the first in the country and one of the most modern in the world. It celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2024. It has the largest dome in Europe, with a diameter of 25 metres and an area of 1,000 square metres. About 10,000,000 Muscovites and visitors to the capital go there every year to enjoy its star programmes, film screenings and interactive exhibitions.
The planetarium is at the cutting edge of technology. It is one of the top producers of full-dome films and other audiovisual material in its very own studio. Since it was created, the studio has released five full-dome films and three widescreen films. The studio's films have won awards at international fulldome film festivals.
The Moscow Planetarium has always been and remains a place that shares new ideas and teaches people about science.
